Dog Breeds And Misconceptions

Dogs have been selectively bred for thousands of years, sometimes by inbreeding dogs from the same ancestral lines, sometimes by mixing dogs from very different lines. The process continues today, resulting in a tremendous variety of dog breeds.

All dogs what ever breed have the same brain make up. We have just changed the way they look. This being so all breeds speak the same language and understand each other. We being humans talk human what ever spoken language we use, the dog does not understand it. Alot of our communication is non verbal, about 75%. The dogs communication is about 90% non verbal. This in mind, the way to get through to your dog must be on a non verbal standing. Show them how to behave in a way they understand. The spoken word is meaningless to a dog.

Certain breeds vere towards certain  behaviour problems. But with in a breed and with in breeds there are many personalities as with in litters. It is the personality that counts as it is with humans. This is what we concentraite on. In general it is not a breed issue it is a personality thing.

The following link uses a wide interpretation of "breed". Breeds listed here may be traditional breeds with long histories as registered breeds, rare breeds with their own registries, or new breeds that may still be under development. For breeds categorized by national origin, refer to the list of dog breeds by country. See also dog breed."
